Libraries across the UK will be celebrating National Libraries Day on Saturday 4 February 2012.
The day is a celebration of the work done in school, college, university, workplace and public libraries to promote learning, literacy and the enjoyment of reading to all.

National Literacy Trust research found that that a child who goes to a library is twice as likely to read well as one who does not. So what are you doing on Saturday, 4th February

every picture tells a story

English classes in year 7 were today treated to a session of story telling by professional story teller Sue Allonby.
she entertained more than 90 pupils and staff with traditional stories from around the world.
Next week is National Story Telling week and the challenge for pupils is to visit the library at break or lunch and tell a story. The best story teller will win a prize too!
