back where it all began!

It was exciting to listen and talk to potential Olympic middle distance runner and past pupil Helen Cltheroe (Pattinson) this week in the library. Members of the media team posed questions to her and filmed the interview as part of the BBC school report. Helen brought in 2 of her medals to us too. Hopefully she can add another one this summer.

"Fifteen-year-old students who are highly engaged readers and whose parents have the lowest occupational status achieve significantly higher average reading scores (540) than students whose parents have the highest occupational status but who are poorly engaged in reading," Reading for Change OECD report
